Provence is larger and more varied than most of us appreciate. The Luberon hills, the Alpilles limestone ridges, the Rhône valley cities, and the wild gorges of Haute-Provence are each a distinct world. We divide the thirty days between two homes: a mas in the Luberon heartland for the first eighteen days, and a stone house in Cotignac, in the Var's Provence Verte, for the final twelve.
